Pune: Purandar Airport Technical Issues 99% Resolved, Says Minister Mohol

Pune, 15th June 2024: The technical problems plaguing the Purandar Airport project have been resolved by 99%, according to Union Minister of State for Cooperation and Civil Aviation, Muralidhar Mohol. Recent meetings have addressed these issues, and the state government is expected to resolve the remaining land acquisition concerns soon.
The announcement came during a conversation organized by the Pune Shramik Patrakar Sangh on Saturday. Minister Mohol, speaking at the event, expressed optimism about the project’s progress. The event was also attended by Pune Shramik Patrakar Sangh President Padurang Sandbhor, General Secretary Sakrit Mokashi, and other dignitaries.
In his address, Mohol highlighted the proposal to grant university status to the Vaikuthbhai Mehta institute in Pune, transforming it into a cooperative university. “Cooperation is deeply rooted in the state, and it requires significant efforts,” Mohol stated. “Great strides have been made in recent years, and the national policy on cooperation is in its final stages. This policy will be announced in the coming days and will provide justice and benefits to small entities.”
Mohol also noted that, for the first time in forty years, a direct ministership has been honored, reflecting a strong sense of responsibility within a capable team. He emphasized the goal of making Pune the best city in the country and mentioned ongoing efforts to contact various departments for necessary information.
Discussing the Cooperative Department, Mohol mentioned that two recent meetings have focused on advancing the department’s agenda. “Cooperation is a spirit that directly connects with farmers. Many people have joined the cooperative movement, and time should be dedicated to this work,” he said. “A new cooperation policy will soon be introduced to ensure justice for small companies.”
Currently, the Cooperative Department has two Minister of State positions, and a division of labor is anticipated soon. Mohol stressed the importance of collaboration among state leaders, noting that this government operates differently from previous ones.
Mohol also mentioned the introduction of a six-coach train in Pune district, emphasizing that Pune will not be neglected in future plans. “Both ministries will be given due attention,” he assured.
