Pune: Satyen Patel Elected New President Of Lakshya
Sports Administrator Sunder Iyer and Noted Chartered Accountant Bharat Shah have been re-elected as the Secretary and the Treasurer of the organisation at the AGM held yesterday.
Swastik Sirsikar and Ashish Desai have been re-elected as the Vice Presidents , Anil Chajjed will be the new Jt secretary of the organisation
Former President Vishal Chordia , GrandMaster Abhijit Kunte , Girish Chitale will be the new members of the Managjng Committee while ,Harshal Morde and Sandeep Nulkar will be the special invitees.
Mr Patel who is the Managing Director of Sahaydri Industries Ltd has been involved with sports at the grassroots level and keen supporter of Wrestling having supported many wrestlers from Maharashtra at the village level
Mr Patel will bring in his rich corporate experience and help further growth and professional development of young sportspersons involved with Lakshya “ said Mr Vishal Chordia while handing over presidential reins to Mr Patel .
We will look at supporting players , aiding them with technology and 360 degree support to enhance their skills and abilities, My team will plan and focus on the 2024 , 2028 Olympic Games and probable players .
We are also looking at launching a new Scholarship Programme and a Sport Rehabilitation and Injury Management Programme for needy and upcoming talented sportspersons soon , Mr Patel added.
