Pune: Scheduled Maintenance to Temporarily Disrupt Water Supply in Pimpri Chinchwad

Pimpri, 16th January 2024: In a bid to ensure the efficiency and reliability of the water supply system, the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has announced necessary maintenance and repair works in the Water Supply Department. The scheduled maintenance will include critical repairs at the impure Water Abstraction and Purification Centre.

To facilitate the maintenance activities, the Water Abstraction and Purification Centre at Ravet, a crucial component of the water supply infrastructure, will be temporarily closed on Thursday, January 18, 2024, from 10:00 am to 06:00 pm. Consequently, the water supply to Pimpri Chinchwad City will be suspended in the evening of the same day.

Residents are advised to prepare for a temporary disruption in water services, with the closure of the water abstraction centre. Additionally, on Friday, January 19, 2024, the morning water supply is expected to be irregular and may experience lower pressure.

While inconveniences are expected, citizens are encouraged to be thrifty and conserve water during this period. PCMC acknowledges the cooperation of residents in the past and urges them to continue their efforts in conserving water resources.
