Pune: “Someone Is Preventing Pawar Family Unity,” Claims Ajit Pawar’s Close Aide from Pimpri-Chinchwad

Pimpri-Chinchwad, 9th May 2025: Amid ongoing speculation about a possible reunion between both factions of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and the Pawar family, Ajit Pawar-led NCP’s MLA from Pimpri, Anna Bansode, has suggested that someone is deliberately preventing the factions from coming together, hinting at the involvement of a third person or party actively obstructing the reunion of the major regional political organisation.

Bansode, the 19th Deputy Speaker of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, was speaking to the media at the Vallabh Nagar Bus Depot in Pimpri-Chinchwad when he made the statement. He has previously expressed hope that the well-known uncle-nephew duo, Sharad and Ajit Pawar, should reconcile.

Following Rohit Pawar’s statement yesterday that the decision lies with the senior members of the family and party, Bansode today voiced his suspicion that someone is intentionally damaging the relationship. “Somebody is not letting Ajit Pawar and Sharad Pawar come together. Somebody is putting a grain of salt between them. Who is that person? Journalists should find out,” he said.
