Pune: Threat To Shoot Former MNS Corporator Vasant More’s Son, Rs 30 Lakh Ransom Demanded
Katraj, 7th March 2023: Former Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) corporator Vasant More’s son was threatened to be shot dead and a ransom of Rs 30 lakh was demanded. A case has been registered in this matter at the Bharati Vidyapeeth Police Station.
The incident happened in the Katraj area between 7th February 2023 and March. The Police registered a case against four mobile phone holders in this regard. Rupesh Vasant More (21), a resident of Krishna Leela, Katraj Gaonthan, has filed a complaint in this matter. According to the information given by the police, the accused called Rupesh on his WhatsApp number on 7th February.
The accused stated that Rupesh is married to a girl named Alfiya Sheikh and sent the marriage registration certificate of the Government of Maharashtra from Gram Sevak, Gram Panchayat, Vadgaon (T) Soygaon, District Aurangabad. To collect the marriage certificate, the accused demanded Rs 20 lakh. The accused told Rupesh to put the amount in an Innova next to Kharadi Yuvan IT Park or the accused threatened that Alfiya will file a case against him.
Then on 27th February, Rupesh received a message from Alfiya stating that if he didn’t pay Rs 30 lakh, then a case of rape will be made against him. He was told to put Rs 30 lakh in a car inside a dark line plot opposite Kharadi Yuan IT Park. If he does not keep the money, the accused threatened to make the marriage certificate viral.
Then again on 5th March, on WhatsApp, he received threatening messages stating that if he didn’t pay the said amount, he will be killed. It was also mentioned in the message that the accused also did all the planning for Rupesh’s murder. They will shoot him and will call Vasant More about the same.
It has been mentioned in the complaint that the accused sent such a threatening message and demanded extortion of Rs 30 lakh.
