Pune: Three Feared Drowned As Car Falls In Nira Deoghar Dam, One Survivor Reported
Bhor, 29th July 2023: In the early hours of Saturday, July 29, a tragic accident occurred at Varandha Ghat on Bhor-Mahad road when a car plunged into the waters of Nira Deoghar Dam in Shirgaon village limits.
The ill-fated car was carrying four occupants at the time of the accident – three men and one woman. Regrettably, three of them are believed to have drowned, while only one individual managed to survive.
The accident victim is said to be from Ravet in Pune. In response to the emergency, Government Disaster Management Cell personnel, along with members of the Sahyadri Rescue Team from Bhor and members of Bhoiraj Mandal, swiftly rushed to the scene to assist with the rescue and recovery operations.
The situation remains distressing as authorities continue their efforts to recover the bodies of the victims and provide support to the survivor. Further details and updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
