Pune Traffic Police Completes Intensive Training for 100% of Officers and Personnel

Pune, 14th May 2025: The Pune Traffic Police Academy, envisioned by the Pune City Commissioner of Police Amitesh Kumar, has successfully completed a comprehensive training program for all traffic police officers and personnel. Under the guidance of Additional Commissioner of Police (East) Manoj Patil, and other senior officials, the training was conducted from 23rd February to 10th May across 18 sessions.
During these sessions, officers and constables received instruction from renowned and international-level experts. The training covered a wide range of topics, including soft skills, psychotherapy, Motor Vehicle Act regulations and enforcement, green corridor and VVIP convoy operations, police-public interaction, CPR (first aid treatment), and traffic e-challan procedures. The program aimed to deliver maximum knowledge in minimum time to officers and personnel assigned to the traffic branch.
A total of 63 officers and 1,045 personnel from the Pune Traffic Branch participated, with 100% attendance achieved. Future plans for the Academy include incorporating technical and other specialized training, as well as expanding the scope to enhance communication between police and citizens.
Additional Commissioner of Police Manoj Patil provided training on traffic regulation, police-public conduct, and duty. Valuable support for the sessions came from Ashwini Malhotra, CEO of Weikfield Food Pvt. Ltd.; Ajay Agarwal, Director of Top Management Consortium Foundation; Manjiri Gokhale of Elephant Connect; and Shrikant Patil, Director of TMCF.
Distinguished trainers included Manoj Patil (traffic regulation and police conduct), Suresh Gokhale (soft skills), Urmila Dixit (soft skills, psychotherapy), Medha Kadam (soft skills), Anil Pantoji (RTO, road rules), Prakash Jadhav (RTO, Motor Vehicle Act and traffic control), Ashok Shinde (RTO, Motor Vehicle Act), Mahadev Gawde (Motor Vehicle Act), Vijay Palsule (VIP convoy, fire brigade), Surendra Deshmukh (green corridor), Raghatwan (manual signals), Dr. Shyam Gaikwad of Jehangir Hospital (PCR first aid), and Amit Gonjari (traffic e-challan practical).
Certificates were awarded to all participating officers and personnel. The training provided essential knowledge on vehicle laws, technology, proper use of e-challan machines, courteous public interaction, and decision-making during emergencies or accidents. The sessions were managed under the guidance of DCP (Traffic) Amol Zende.
According to Additional Commissioner of Police Manoj Patil, this training has prepared the traffic police branch to serve the public more effectively, with improved knowledge, technical skills, and communication abilities.
