Pune Trains to Be Affected as Mega Block Between Vidyavihar and Thane on October 19

Mumbai/Pune, 17th October 2025: Central Railway’s Mumbai Division will operate a Mega Block on its Main Line suburban section between Vidyavihar and Thane stations on Sunday, October 19, 2025, to carry out essential engineering and maintenance works. The block will be implemented on the 5th and 6th lines from 8.00 am to 1.30 pm.

As a result, several Pune-originating trains bound for Mumbai are expected to be delayed by 10 to 15 minutes due to diversions on the affected route.

Trains from Pune to Mumbai Affected

The following UP Mail/Express trains from Pune will be diverted on the UP Fast Line at Thane and re-diverted at Vidyavihar:

11010 Pune–CSMT Sinhagad Express

12124 Pune–CSMT Deccan Queen

12126 Pune–CSMT Pragati Express

22226 Solapur–CSMT Vande Bharat Express

Other trains on the same route, including Patna–LTT Express (13201), Nagpur–CSMT Sevagram Express (12140), Banaras–LTT Express (12168), Howrah–CSMT Express (12321), Hatia–LTT Express (12812), and Dhule–CSMT Express (11012), will also be diverted and face minor delays.

Down Trains to Be Diverted

Down Mail/Express trains such as LTT–Gorakhpur Godan Express (11055), LTT–Jaynagar Express (11061), LTT–Thiruvananthapuram Netravati Express (16345), and LTT–Kakinada Port Express (17222) will also operate via the UP Fast Line between Vidyavihar and Thane, resulting in similar delays.

Harbour Line Services to Remain Suspended

Harbour Line operations between CSMT–Chunabhatti/Bandra (Down) from 11.40 am to 4.40 pm and Chunabhatti/Bandra–CSMT (Up) from 11.10 am to 4.10 pm will remain suspended.
Services between CSMT and Vashi/Belapur/Panvel, as well as CSMT and Bandra/Goregaon, will be unavailable during this period.

Alternative Arrangements

Special suburban services will operate between Panvel and Kurla (Platform No. 8) every 20 minutes during the block. Passengers on the Harbour Line can travel via Main Line and Western Railway routes between 10.00 am and 6.00 pm.

According to Central Railway, these maintenance blocks are necessary for infrastructure upkeep and safety. Passengers have been advised to plan their journeys accordingly.
