Pune: Tree Falls on PMPML Bus, Narrowly Avoids Tragedy
Shivajinagar, 7th September 2023: A PMPML Bus, numbered 12 (MH12RN 8851), en route from Fergusson College Bus Station to Nigdi, faced a sudden mishap when an old tree along FC Road fell onto the bus, causing panic among passengers.
The fallen tree shattered the front windshield of the bus and struck the driver, Apparao Jadhav, injuring his leg. Alarmed by the incident, passengers hurriedly moved towards the rear of the bus. Fortunately, since the bus was traveling at a slow speed, Driver Jadhav managed to bring it to an immediate halt, preventing any casualties.
The bus was carrying around thirty to thirty-five passengers at the time of the incident, as reported by the conductor, Mahadev Dongre. Following the occurrence, a minor traffic disruption transpired on FC Road.
