Pune: United Sports Club takes first innings lead at PYC Filtrum Challenger Trophy Under-25 Invitation Cricket
Pune, 30th November 2021: United Sports Club took a 22 run first innings against MCA East Zone at the “PYC-Filtrum Challenger Trophy” Invitation Under-25 3day Men’s Cricket Tournament organized by the PYC Hindu Gymkhana and played at PYC Cricket ground, Aryans Cricket Ground and Loni Ground here today
Batting first United Sports Club were bowled out for 144 runs, then their bowlers Saurabh Singh 4-40, Anand Thenge 3-35 ran through the MCA East Zone batsmen and bowled them out for 122 runs to claim the crucial first innings lead.
In another match, Kedar Jadhav Cricket Academy buoyed by 7th wicket partnership of 77 runs in 109balls between Shubham Upadhyay(not out 78runs) and Akshay Zore(33runs) put on 291 runs for the loss of 8 wickets against Hosts PYC Gymkhana
The tournament was inaugurated at the hands of Kumar Tamhane, President of PYC, Niranjan Kirloskar, MD of Filtrum. Sarang Lagu, Hon. Secretary of PYC, Vinayak Dravid, Cricket Secretary of PYC, Abhishek Tamhane, Siddharth Bhave Shirish Sathe were present on the occasion.
