Pune: Voters Will Show That Kasba Belongs To Hindus – Fadnavis
Pune, 23rd February 2023: Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis addressed a meeting held at Mahatma Phule Mandai to campaign for Hemant Rasane, the candidate of the BJP grand alliance in Kasba assembly constituency. Fadnavis challenged that the Kasba elections are no longer a local issue, but an election of national ideas, and the voters will show that Kasba belongs to Hindus. The Deputy Chief Minister accused the Mahavikas Aghadi campaign of bringing Muslims from all over the country to vote to defeat Narendra Modi and RSS by raising caste issues.
The BJP leader criticized Sharad Pawar’s meeting, in which he alleged that a Muslim leader made casteist remarks by saying that they would bring Muslims from all over the country to defeat Modi and RSS, even the dead ones will vote. Fadnavis emphasized that the election is not just about caste issues, but about national ideas.
Fadnavis also questioned whether Dhangekar, Congress, and NCP would support the temple of Puneshwar Mahadev. He said that bringing all communities together would take the development forward, and Pune’s face will change due to the metro network, river cleaning and beautification project. Pune has the largest number of e-buses in the country, and this model has been appreciated by the central government. The BJP is working on the expansion of the ring road and airport, and a BJP MLA is needed in Kasba constituency while bringing about change through development.
Hemant Rasane, the BJP candidate, met Chief Minister Eknath Shinde to solve the issue of old Wadas in Peths. The Chief Minister has assured to open the way for redevelopment by removing the obstacles and restrictions in the development of Wadas. Fadnavis said that the order would be issued after the completion of the code of conduct.
Furthermore, Fadnavis criticized Pawar over the decision to change the curriculum of the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) during the Mahavikas Aghadi period. He alleged that when there were protests against it during their time, they did not open their mouths and did not respond. However, now Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has decided to implement the MPSC’s new exam pattern from 2025.
