Wagholi, 21st September 2022: The Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) has transferred the Wagholi-Lohegaon road load to Urban Line from the Lohegaon side permanently. The bus depot has a separate line already. The ultimate result expected now is fewer electric disruptions from the urban side. There is also a switchover to rural again in case of longer urban failures.

The Wagholi area has been prone to multiple electricity cuts for a long time. Sometimes, these power cuts would last more than four hours, owing to “urgent work” or other reasons.

According to the members of the Wagholi Housing Societies Association, the MSEDCL’s step to transfer the road load is a welcomed initiative. “We have been asked to observe the supply for a week, and if any interruptions are observed, we shall bring them to their notice again, and a meeting shall be held,” the Association stated.

The Association also showed gratitude to the citizens of the area, the WHSA team for the escalation to MLA and MSEDCL higher authorities and the entire ground MSEDCL staff for their efforts.
