Pune’s JRL Realty Falls Victim to Fraudulent Scheme, Loses Rs. 1.2 Crore

Pune, 4th April 2024: JRL Realty and Infrastructure Private Limited has fallen victim to a fraudulent scheme, wherein they were misled into transferring Rs. 1 crore 20 lakhs under false pretenses of acquiring land. The accused individuals promised to provide the land but failed to fulfill their commitments, leaving JRL Realty and Infrastructure Private Limited at a loss. The incident unfolded between January 10 and April 3 at the Nigdi Pradhikaran.

The individual implicated in the case is Prasad Pradeep Konde Deshmukh, a resident of Dhankawadi, Pune. The aggrieved party, a woman, has lodged a complaint with the Nigdi Police Station.

According to the police investigation, the complainant, representing JRL Realty Infrastructure, was in search of land for the company’s operations. The accused purportedly offered 15 Guntha of Land in Nigdi, valued at Rs. 3 crore 90 lakhs. Allegedly, the accused proposed a transaction wherein 30 % of the amount would suffice for initiating the registration process. Consequently, the complainant transferred Rs. 1 crore 20 lakhs to the accused via RTGS.

Despite receiving the payment, the accused failed to furnish the promised registration receipt and neither returned the funds to the complainant. Nigdi Police are investigating this matter further.
