Rangehills Young Boys register big win; Fatima XI edge past Deccan XI in PDFA Super Division League
Pune, 9th March 2026: Exciting matches were witnessed in the Pune District Football Association (PDFA) Super Division League 2026, organized by the Pune District Football Association and played at the Hotfut Bavdhan Football Ground, Ganga Legend.
In a closely fought encounter, UKM Kothrud FC A played out a 2-2 draw with New India Soccer Club. Shubham Bhosale gave UKM Kothrud the early lead in the 4th minute, but Siddhant Chavan equalized for New India in the 10th minute. Zephaniah Menezes put New India ahead in the 46th minute before Neeraj Bhat restored parity for UKM Kothrud in the 58th minute.
Fatima XI registered a 2-1 victory over Deccan XI A. Krishna Ahir opened the scoring in the 14th minute for Fatima XI, while Shivraj Deshmukh leveled the score for Deccan XI A in the 42nd minute. Jay Mahamuni netted the decisive goal in the 57th minute to seal the win.
Rangehills Young Boys FC produced a dominant performance, thrashing Phoenix Sports Academy 5-0. Shashank Yadav struck as early as the 2nd minute, followed by goals from Nishith Hegde (7th), Neil Sanghavi (17th), Pritish Babar (25th) and Nikil Narayanan (32nd) to complete the emphatic victory.
In another match, Thundercatz FC defeated Real Pune United FC 2-0, with goals from Yash Lonare in the 22nd minute and Shubham Rai in the 56th minute.
