New Delhi, 30th May 2023: A 20-year-old man named Sahil is accused of killing a 16-year-old girl in a fit of rage on Sunday (May 28) in Delhi’s Shahbad Dairy neighborhood. In the vicious assault, Sahil stabbed the girl 16 times before slamming a boulder over her head on the sidewalk.

According to an NDTV report, Sahil displayed no remorse for his acts when being questioned. Sahil admitted to the crime and said he didn’t feel bad about it. After the encounter, the suspect left for the Rithala neighborhood of Delhi, where he dumped the knife before boarding a bus for Bulandshahr.

According to News18, Sahil had bought the knife used in the murder from Haridwar, Uttarakhand, roughly 20 days before the incident. According to the complaint, Sahil had been warned by the victim to keep his distance or else the victim would call the police. It was even claimed that she scared him off with a toy pistol.

Today (May 30), Sahil appeared before the Rohini court. The judge remanded him to police custody for two days. He was captured in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh.

Investigations have shown that the victim and Sahil, a 20-year-old technician, had been dating for over three years before they recently had an argument or chose to break up. Since Sahil committed the horrible deed out of hatred for the victim, the police have categorized the murder as a crime of passion.

At Delhi’s Shahbad cremation, the deceased girl’s devastated parents carried out her final rites. They spoke to ANI and demanded justice for their daughter, expressing their agony.
