Strict Measures To Prevent Accidents On Pune-Mumbai Expressway : Shambhuraj Desai
Pune/Nagpur, 22nd December 2022: To prevent collisions on the Pune-Mumbai Expressway, instructions have been given to the concerned system regarding strict traffic rules compliance.
“We will pay attention to speed control, avoiding lane cutting, and heavy vehicle compliance with rules,” Minister Shambhuraj Desai stated.
In response to the question posed following Rule 94 by Member of the Legislative Assembly Bhimrao Tapkir, the speaker was Minister Desai.
He stated, “A revised road safety policy has already been prepared.”
Through the Transport Department, Police, Highway Police, and National Road Development Agency, efforts will be made to effectively implement it.”
“Since 2016, the number of accidents and deaths has been decreasing due to the efforts to prevent accidents on this highway.”
The highway police and the traffic department have been given instructions to use more speed guns and make sure that heavy vehicles use the left lane. However, to make travelling safer, the necessary steps will be taken,” Minister Desai stated.
