These Are Guidelines For Shiv Jayanti To Be Celebrated On Friday

Pune: Februrary 18, 2021: Ahead of the Shiv Jayanti (birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj) which is slated to be celebrated on Friday the State Government has issued some guidelines in the background of Covid-19 pandemic.
While issuing the guidelines, the State mentioned that the State is reeling under 1897 act and Disaster Management Act of 2005. Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has also released the guidelines.
Following are the guidelines:
1) To keep the celebrations simple and not to gather at any Fort on the intervening night between Thursday and Friday
2) No permission to hold street plays,  skits, lectures, Powada (tales of Shivaji Maharaj presented through songs) and other cultural activities
3) No bike rallies or prabhat Pheries. The garlanding of the Statue to be held only with 100 attendees by following all the social distancing and sanitasation rules
4) On this day conduct blood donation camps, health check-up camps besides spreading awareness regarding Corona, Malaria, Dengu
5) Citizens must strictly follow the social distancing, wearing of mask and use of sanitisers while celebrating the birth anniversary
6) It is mandatory for all to follow the State Government resolution issued regarding the guidelines on February 11, 2021
7) To avoid the spread of Covid 19 disease, it is compulsory for all to follow the guidelines issued by the local administration
