Three Illegal Bangladeshi Nationals Arrested in Talegaon, Pune

Pimpri-Chinchwad, 3rd January 2025: The Anti-Terrorism Cell of the Talegaon MIDC police station has arrested three Bangladeshi nationals for living illegally in India. The accused, identified as Hussain Sheikh, Monirul Ghazi, and Amirul Sana, were residing in a rented room in the Navlakh Umbre area of Talegaon MIDC, Pune.

According to police, confidential information was received that three Bengali-speaking individuals were living near a water tank in Navlakh Umbre and were suspected to be Bangladeshi nationals. Acting on the tip-off, the police conducted an investigation in the presence of independent witnesses (Pancha).

During the probe, it was confirmed that the accused were indeed from Satkhira district in Bangladesh and were living illegally in room number 44. Further investigation revealed that the trio possessed forged Indian documents, including Aadhaar cards, PAN cards, birth certificates from West Bengal, and e-Shram cards. Additionally, they had Bangladeshi passports and birth certificates.

The police also discovered that the suspects had made several calls to various mobile numbers in Bangladesh, raising concerns about their activities. It was found that they had been residing in India for the past four to five years and had been living in Navlakh Umbre for the last eight months while working at a nearby company.
