Mumbai, 25th January 2024: Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, has returned to Twitter. Yesterday (January 24), her account was restored after more than two years.

After coming back on Twitter, she tweeted, “Hello everyone, it’s nice to be back here.”

The actress announced the same on her Instagram account.

Kangana’s Twitter account was permanently suspended on May 4, 2021, as a result of her controversial tweet regarding the unrest in West Bengal following the election. Twitter’s “hateful conduct and abusive behaviour” guideline was regularly broken by the actor’s account.

Following the victory of the Trinamool Congress over the BJP in West Bengal and instances of post-election violence, Kangana, renowned for her frequently provocative tweets, wrote several tweets. She demanded President’s Rule in the state and referred to Banerjee by derogatory names while blaming her for the violence.

A Twitter spokeswoman stated, “We have been clear that we will take aggressive enforcement action on behaviour that has the potential to lead to offline harm.”
