UPSC CSE 2022: Release of Reserve List Adds 89 Candidates to Civil Services

New Delhi, 2nd November 2023: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has made a significant announcement regarding the inclusion of candidates on the reserved list of the Civil Services Examination (CSE) Main Examination 2022. The UPSC had earlier declared the results on 23 May 2023, revealing the selection of 933 candidates for various prestigious positions such as the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and several other Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’ central services from the 1022 vacancies.

Continuing its selection process, the UPSC has now released a reserved list comprising an additional 89 candidates for the remaining vacancies on Wednesday, 1 November 2023. These candidates have successfully made it to the reserve list for the UPSC CSE 2022.

Among the 89 candidates chosen for the vacancies, 65 belong to the general category, while the remaining comprise 15 from Other Backward Classes (OBC), 7 from Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), and one each from the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories.

The UPSC has provided the roll numbers and names of these 89 candidates on its official website, upsc.gov.in. The details can be accessed either through an active link posted on the website.

The release of the reserve list by the UPSC stands as a significant step towards filling the remaining vacancies within the prestigious civil services, extending the opportunity to 89 more deserving candidates who have been added to the distinguished list of successful aspirants.
