Pune, 2nd April 2024: The Vanchit Bahujan Aaghadi (VBA), led by Prakash Ambedkar, today announced the list of candidates for five Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra.

Vasant More, who recently departed from Raj Thackeray’s MNS, will be the VBA’s candidate for the Pune Lok Sabha seat, while the party has decided to support Supriya Sule, daughter of Sharad Pawar (NCP), for the Baramati seat.

When contacted, More told Punekar News, “for sure, the future looks bright now.”

Other candidates include Avinash Bosikar from Nanded, Babasaheb Bhujangrao Ubale from Parbhani, Afsar Khan from Aurangabad, and Mangaldas Bagul from Shirur.

“The VBA state committee has decided not to field a candidate from the Baramati parliamentary constituency. VBA will support the candidate of the Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar),” stated Rekha Thakare, VBA state president, in a press release today.

In Pune, More’s electoral fight will be against BJP’s Murlidhar Mohol and Ravindra Dhangekar of Congress.
