Chinchwad, 3rd May 2025: Amid rising summer temperatures and growing complaints of water scarcity across Pimpri-Chinchwad, MLA Shankar Jagtap has issued strong directives to the civic administration, demanding immediate and sufficient water supply to residents. The city has been reeling under a water crisis, with many residential societies receiving less than their allocated quota, forcing citizens to rely on private tankers.

To address the crisis, MLA Jagtap convened an emergency meeting under the Chinchwadgaon water tank, where he expressed serious concern over the mismanagement of water resources. He directed officials from the Water Supply Department to prevent leakage, misuse, and wastage, and to prioritize drinking water over commercial usage.

“Drinking water is a fundamental right of citizens. Every household must receive the prescribed quota without delay. The administration must act immediately,” said Jagtap during the meeting.
