WhatsApp Adds New Feature, Community; Check How To Use Effectively Here
New Delhi, 12th November 2022: About two weeks ago Whatsapp announced the new ‘Communities feature’ and now it is being rolled out for Android, iOS and web users. With the help of this new feature, many groups can be connected and it will also be easy to manage them. Its purpose is to bring together like-minded people and groups.
About Communities, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said, “Today we are excited to share our vision for the new WhatsApp feature, which is called Communities. Since the launch of WhatsApp in 2009, our focus has been that How we can improve conversations with friends and family, whether as individuals or as a whole group.”
WhatsApp’s new communities feature is very similar to groups, but you can add many users and groups to it. In WhatsApp groups, only one conversation can be created, while in communities, people with similar likes and dislikes can be brought together. That is, it will be easy to chat in related groups and connect them with each other.
To create a community, you have to follow the steps given below:
1. First of all, open WhatsApp and tap on the Community tab.
2. Now you have to put profile photo after writing community name and description. Its name cannot exceed 24 characters and must be mentioned in the description.
3. By tapping on the green arrow icon, you will be able to make an existing group a part of the community or create a new group.
4. After adding groups to the community, finally tap on the green check mark icon.
