958 New COVID Cases Reported In Pune District; 28,306 Vaccine Doses Administered
Pune, 10 August 2021: A total of 958 new Coronavirus disease (COVID19) patients were reported in the Pune district today while 1122 people were discharged from hospitals. 15 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours. Today, a total of 28,306 doses of the COVID vaccine was administered to people in the district.
According to District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Bhagwan Pawar, there are 7814 active patients in the district and 4218 of them are admitted to hospitals while 3596 are in home isolation. Out of 958 new cases, 226 were reported in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), 151 in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 64 in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), 21 in cantonments, and 496 in rural areas.
Among the 15 deaths, seven were in PMC, three were in PCMC, and five were in rural areas. Out of 1122 discharged patients, 254 were in PMC, 169 were in PCMC, 82were in municipal councils, 15 were in cantonments, and 602 were in rural areas.
