In the Pune Cantonment Assembly Constituency, MLA Sunil Kamble, representing the Mahayuti alliance, concluded his campaign with a vibrant bike rally that showcased strong enthusiasm from party activists.
The rally commenced from Jhule Lal Mandir in Azad Nagar, Wanwadi, and culminated at the Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Statue in Camp. Hundreds of supporters and party workers participated, adding to the fervor of the event. The rally witnessed the presence of prominent leaders, including former state minister Dilip Kamble, RPI (Athawale) city president Sanjay Sonwane, Mahesh Punde, and Balasaheb Janrao, along with members of BJP, Shiv Sena, NCP, and RPI (Athawale).
Addressing the gathering, Sunil Kamble emphasized his vision for infrastructural development and public welfare in the constituency. Highlighting the need for enhanced connectivity, he advocated for extending the metro network to key locations such as Pune Station and Ruby Hall, aiming to ease travel issues for residents.
Kamble also outlined his efforts toward women’s empowerment through initiatives like the Chief Minister’s Ladki Bahin Yojana, which has provided financial support to many women in the constituency. “This scheme has enabled millions of women to move towards self-reliance. In the future, we will implement more programs to foster economic independence and empowerment for women,” Kamble stated.
The BJP candidate also pointed to the beautification efforts in the area, including the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj at the shooting ground and the upcoming Lahuji Wastad memorial. He noted that funds had been sanctioned under the Tourism Development Scheme by the state’s Tourism and Cultural Affairs Department for the beautification of the Babasaheb Ambedkar statue area near the collector’s office. “These efforts aim to enhance the area’s appeal and promote tourism,” he added.
Expressing confidence in his campaign, Kamble said, “The development work undertaken over the past five years has strengthened my bond with the people. I believe the voters will give me another chance to serve them.”
