Pune Traffic Advisory Today: Lane Closed On University Road Near RBI Metro Station After Accident
Shivajinagar, 15th December 2025: Traffic movement was disrupted on University Road on Monday morning after a late-night accident involving a luxury bus and a truck near the RBI Metro Station close to E Square.
According to the Chatushrungi traffic division, the incident occurred when a luxury bus rammed into a metro station pillar, following which a truck hit the bus from behind. Due to the accident, one lane at the bottleneck near the RBI Metro Station has been closed, leading to congestion on the busy stretch.
With Monday being a peak workday and the route witnessing heavy office-hour traffic, the Pune traffic police have issued an advisory and urged commuters to use alternative routes to avoid delays.
Commuters travelling from Radha Chowk, Pimpri-Chinchwad, and Aundh towards Shivajinagar have been advised to turn left at Bremen Chowk, proceed via the Khadki underpass, and then continue towards Shivajinagar and their respective destinations.
Similarly, motorists heading from Baner towards Shivajinagar are advised to take a left turn at Abil House and travel via Range Hills towards Shivajinagar. Alternatively, they can take a U-turn at Cosmos Junction and proceed via Senapati Bapat Road to reach their destinations.
Commuters have been requested to cooperate with the traffic police and plan their travel accordingly to avoid inconvenience.
