Accident On Pune-Mumbai Expressway, Traffic Movement Affected
Pune 3rd August 2023: In yet another accident reported on the Pune-Mumbai Expressway on Thursday, the traffic movement was affected. According to reports, a truck carrying glasses collided with another truck near Bhor Ghat Police chowki on the expressway. The accident was reported at around 8 am in the morning.
As the truck carrying glasses overturned after the accident and glasses were spread across the road towards Mumbai, the traffic movement from Pune towards Mumbai was affected. The vehicles were diverted from old Pune-Mumbai Highway.
Soon after the accident, the rescue teams including IRB, local police were rushed to the spot to remove the truck. Movement of heavy vehicles towards Mumbai was halted after the incident.
Three people have sustained serious injuries in the accident and they have been rushed to the hospital for treatment. The traffic movement is slow on the expressway and the highway police are trying to normalise it on priority, said officials.
