Mumbai, 27th October 2021: Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Mumbai zonal director Sameer Wankhede is being questioned by the central agency in connection with the allegations against him.

Talking to the media today, Deputy Director-General of NCB, Dnyaneshwar Singh said, “Today Sameer Wankhede has been questioned. He has handed over the documents which were asked from him related to the case. If needed, he will be interrogated further. However, he will continue to investigate the Mumbai cruise drugs case till some concrete information is received against him.”

Singh also said that a 5-member team of NCB is investigating the allegations made by Prabhakar Sail through affidavit. “We have requested the Southwest Region Office to send notes to key witnesses in the case, Gosavi and Prabhakar Sail, but they could not be reached”, he said.

”Through media, I would like to appeal to the witnesses in the cruise drugs case, Gosavi and Prabhakar Sail to contact us and give evidence for the investigation. The team is staying at CRPF Mess in Bandra, Mumbai.

Meanwhile, amid the ongoing investigation against Wankhede, another NCB witness Shekhar Kamble claimed that Wankhede had also got him to sign on a blank paper. Kamble has also claimed that the same paper was later used as a panchnama in connection with the arrest of a Nigerian national from Kharghar in Mumbai.

Kamble further said that an NCB official named Anil Mane had contacted him late last night and asked not to speak to anyone.

Kamble said, ”I saw the news on TV yesterday which mentioned the Kharghar Nigerian case. I was scared. I got a call from an NCB official named Anil Mane. NCB officer named Ashish Ranjan is looking into the Kharghar case.”

Sail, a witness in the cruise drugs case which is currently being investigated by Sameer Wankhede, had alleged that a deal of Rs 25 crore was made in lieu of releasing actor Shahrukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan. Sail had created a sensation by taking the name of Wankhede in this money transaction. After which the vigilance team of NCB is now investigating the matter.

Earlier Mumbai Police has also started its investigation by registering an FIR in this case. Sail claimed that Gosavi had demanded Rs 25 crore to release Aryan Khan. Gosavi is the same person who came into the limelight by taking a selfie with Aryan Khan in custody.

Through some other pictures, it is being claimed that Gosavi is seen standing with Wankhede. Prabhakar alleges that the deal with Aryan Khan was settled for 18 crores, out of which he heard about the payment of a hefty amount to Wankhede.
