Baba Ramdev Seeks Relief From Supreme Court Against Several FIRs

New Delhi, 23rd June 2021: Yoga guru Ramdev Baba has been in the spotlight after his controversial statement on allopathy. Even after he withdrew his statement, he is still facing difficulties.

He has now knocked on the door of the Supreme Court to get rid of this hassle. He filed a petition in the Supreme Court on Wednesday seeking relief. It must be noted that following Ramdev Baba’s statement, the Indian Medical Association (IMA) has filed FIRs against him in several states across the country.

Ramdev has requested that the cases registered against him in other states of the country be shifted to Delhi. Cases have been registered against him in Patna and Raipur. In addition to the request for transfer, Ramdev has sought a stay on the ongoing proceedings in these cases in the Supreme Court.

Earlier last week, a case was registered against yoga guru Ramdev Baba. A case has been registered in Raipur, Chhattisgarh and further investigation is underway; police said that Ramdev Baba has been charged with spreading deadly diseases and disturbing the peace. The case was registered on a complaint lodged by the Chhattisgarh chapter of the IMA.

According to police, Ramdev Baba has been accused of spreading false information about allopathic medicines used by doctors to treat Corona. He has been charged under Section 188, Section 269 and Section 504 of the Penal Code and the Disaster Management Act 2005 after the IMA complained in this regard.

In this regard, the Director of IMA’s Hospital Board and Chairman of Raipur IMA, Dr The complaint has been filed by Rakesh Gupta and Vikas Agarwal. Yoga guru Ramdev Baba has been spreading misinformation since last year.

In addition, the complaint alleges that his threatening statement went viral on social media, and the complaint also alleges that at a time when doctors, paramedics, the government and the administration are working together to combat coronary heart disease, Ramdev Baba is spreading misconceptions about universal treatment.
