Bollywood Celebrities Lead Skechers Community Goal Challenge in Pune

Pune, 5th October 2023: Skechers, The Comfort Technology Company™, announced the grand launch of its latest store at Pune Pavilion alongside a Community Goal Challenge event. Continuing its tradition of combining fitness and philanthropy, Skechers invited renowned Bollywood actors Rohit Saraf and Mithila Palkar to Pune Pavilion to lead the charge. The three-day event united the Pune community in a treadmill challenge while striving to achieve a collective goal of 1,000 kilometers, all in support of the non-governmental organization Indian Sports Revolution.

Commenting on this event, Rahul Vira, CEO, Skechers Asia Pvt. Reflecting on his experience, Rohit Saraf said, “I was really excited to be here today at the Skechers walkathon event with all of you in Pune. It was amazing to see the enthusiasm and energy as we came together to support a fantastic cause. This marks my second community challenge; the first one took place just a few months ago in Delhi. It was an honor for me to be a part of this initiative.”

This edition of the Community Goal Challenge was dedicated to donating 100 pairs of shoes to the Indian Sports Revolution. The NGO based in Pune promotes sports at the grassroots level in India. They strive to provide access to sports education and facilities, empowering young athletes and contributing to the development of a healthier and more active nation.

With this launch, Skechers Pavilion becomes a part of the 14 Skechers stores in the city of Pune, showcasing an extensive range of footwear and apparel spanning from the Performance to Lifestyle categories.
