Call centre employee robbed on JM Road

Pune, July 4, 2016: A 27-year-old man working with a call centre was allegedly threatened with a knife and robbed of cash and mobile phone on Jangli Maharaj road in the wee house of Monday.

Amol Tulsidas Thombre, a native of Osmanabad, who currently lives in Karvenagar, has lodged a complaint of robbery with Deccan Gymkhana police station.

According to police, the incident took place around 3.45 am while Thombre was waiting for public transport PMPML bus at the bus stop near Sambhaji Garden. He had come from Osmanabad to Shivajinagar. He was waiting for a bus for going to Karvenagar, when two persons came there on a motorcycle. He was assaulted with a knife and robbed of Rs 200 cash and mobile phone worth Rs 5,000. Thombre has sustained injury near left hand thumb.
