Collision on Mumbai-Pune Expressway: Tempo and Pickup Vehicle Clash, No Injuries

Pune, 16th December 2023: In a recent incident along the Pune-bound lane of the Mumbai-Pune Expressway, a collision occurred between a tempo and a pickup vehicle. Miraculously, the driver of the pickup vehicle emerged unscathed from the accident.

However, adding to the turmoil, the driver of the tempo hastily absconded from the scene. The situation, teetering on the brink of a major catastrophe, was deftly diffused thanks to the rapid and coordinated response of multiple authorities. The swift actions of IRB patrolling, the vigilant highway traffic police, and the intervention of the Delta Force, coupled with the timely arrival of ambulance services from Lokmanya Hospital, collectively averted what could have been a severe accident.

Despite the fleeing tempo driver, authorities have managed to keep traffic flowing smoothly within the jurisdiction of the Khalapur police station. Their proactive measures ensure minimal disruption and maintain the seamless movement of vehicles through the affected area.
