Delhi Woman Caught Smuggling Gold Paste From Bangkok In Her Body Cavity, Caught At Pune Airport

Pune, 22nd December 2022: Acting on intelligence developed during passenger profiling, officers of Pune Customs intercepted a woman passenger at Pune International airport who was travelling on Spicejet flight from Bangkok to Pune on 20.12.2022.
The passenger, a Delhi based woman, had concealed 270 grams of gold paste (containing 210 g of 24K gold) in her body cavity in capsule form. The capsules have been seized.
The market value of seizure is estimated to be around Rs 11.70 lakhs. Further investigation is ongoing.
