Ganeshotsav Extravaganza: Pune’s Dagdusheth Trust Unveils Grand Ayodhya Shriram Temple Replica

Pune, 19th September 2023: The Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Public Ganapati Trust, Suvarnayug Tarun Mandal, celebrated the 131st year of the trust by unveiling a remarkable replica of the Lord Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya during Ganeshotsav. The inauguration ceremony was graced by the presence of Guru Baba Maharaj Ausekar, President of Ausa Sansthan, Nath Sansthan H.P., along with trustees, officers, and trust workers.

Devotees flocked to witness the temple illuminated by thousands of lamps, showcasing a replica that stands at an impressive 125 feet in length, 50 feet in width, and 100 feet in height. The replica boasts 24 pillars, 24 arches, and a central dome soaring over 100 feet, while the temple’s total height, including the flag, reaches approximately 108 feet. Additionally, the temple features 11 small and large kalas.

The main hall captivates with its magnificent idol adorned in golden hues, surrounded by intricate arches. Within the temple premises and along the route, an enthralling portrayal of events from the Ramayana unfolds through pictorial and written depictions, complemented by statues of the Vanarsena on 60 pillars.

An imaginative representation of the Ram Setu greets visitors at Belbagh Chowk, providing a new entry point to the temple. This year’s special attractions include replicas of Lord Shri Ram, Shri Hanuman, and the monkeys of Vanarsena at the entrance, promising to be visually captivating.
