Illegal Collection Of Donations In The Name Of Ram Mandir Construction, Case Filed Against 4 Including Former VHP Leader

Moradabad (Uttar Pradesh), January 17, 2021: In the name of Ram Mandir construction, a case of illegal fund-raising has come to light. On Saturday, Moradabad’s Civil Lines Police registered a case against four, including the former VHP office-bearer. The police have started investigating the allegations.

A collection of funds for the construction of the Ram temple has been launched across the country on Friday. The National Self Service Association and its associated organizations have taken responsibility for the collection of funds for the construction of the Ram Mandir. Thus, the Ram Temple Fund Surrender Committee was formed, which is now collecting funds by giving receipts to the people. When the committee members arrived at the area on Saturday, they found out that some people had illegally collected the donations from the citizens. People also showed the receipt. Which was different from the original receipt.

When notified of the incident, President of Ram Mandir Nidhi Surrender Committee, Om Prakash Shastri and General Secretary Prabhat Goyal filed a complaint with ASP Anil Kumar which stated that some people had been raising funds by printing a receipt similar to their organization’s receipt under the pretext of collecting money for the Ram Mandir construction. The complaint was submitted against Vijay Nagar resident Rohan Saxena of Katghar, Amit Aggarwal, resident of Old Tehsil of Nagar Kotwali area, Harsh Verma, resident of Chaurasi Ghanta and former VHP leader Manoj Vyas, accusing them of the act. ASP Anil Kumar said that on the basis of the complaint, an investigation is being conducted against the four accused.
