Noida, 10th July 2023: The Pakistani woman, accompanied by her four children, crossed the border into India to meet her lover whom she had connected with on the popular online game, PUB-G. She made a statement claiming that she had converted to Hinduism and altered her children’s names accordingly.

According to the Times of India, Seema Haider from Pakistan expressed that she had embraced Hinduism and decided to adopt Sachin’s surname, relinquishing her own. Furthermore, she asserted that she modified her children’s names to align with her newfound faith. Seema informed TOI, “Seema is a name common among Hindus and Muslims, so Sachin suggested that I need not change my first name. I can go by Seema or Seema Sachin. We have also changed our children’s names to Raj, Priyanka, Pari, and Munni.”

Recently granted bail, the woman reunited with her partner Sachin Meena at their residence in Rabupura, Greater Noida, on Saturday. Seema Haider, now Seema Meena, had been arrested for illegally entering India and residing in Greater Noida without proper documentation. A local court ordered her to serve a 14-day judicial custody and ruled that her four children would stay with her in jail, as reported by the police.

Originally hailing from the Khairpur district in the Sindh province of Pakistan, the woman initially travelled to Nepal before entering India on May 13 without valid papers, all in pursuit of meeting her lover from PUB-G.

According to media reports, the woman reportedly sold a portion of her land to finance her journey, amounting to approximately Rs 12 lakh. Sachin Meena, in conversation with TOI, shared that his family had accepted Seema and her children. He also appealed to Prime Minister Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to grant Indian citizenship to his wife.
