Pune, May 10th 2024: Renowned filmmaker SS Rajamouli recently addressed a press conference, shedding light on the future of the “Baahubali” franchise. During the event, Rajamouli disclosed that no expenses were spared in promoting both parts of the monumental film.

Rajamouli highlighted the meticulous planning done by him and his team to execute a zero-budget promotion strategy. “We didn’t spend a single penny on promotion. Instead, we relied on internal videos and digital posters to generate publicity,” he explained.

He emphasized the importance of connecting with new audiences and creating interest in the product, asserting that every film requires a unique approach. Discussing the future trajectory of the “Baahubali” franchise, Rajamouli hinted at expansion into various mediums beyond the animated series, although he refrained from providing specifics at the moment.

Producer Shobu Yarlagadda echoed Rajamouli’s sentiments, underscoring the vast potential for multiple franchises stemming from the “Baahubali” series. The animated series “Baahubali: Crown of Blood” is slated to premiere on Disney Plus Hotstar on May 17, offering fans a new dimension to the epic saga.

Meanwhile, the original film “Baahubali,” released in 2015, continues to hold remarkable records in Telugu, South Indian, and Hindi cinema. It stands as the highest-grossing film in these sectors, with Prabhas’s stellar performance propelling it to become the first Indian film to cross the 1,000 crore rupees mark within a mere 10 days of its release.
