Pune, 24th May 2023: The revenue department of Maharashtra government has announced that no separate NA permission will be needed for the land which has permission to start the construction work and NA permission will be granted automatically as part of the BPMS system run by the authority.

CREDAI Pune Metro’s President Ranjit Naiknavare has welcomed this decision.

“Real Estate developers are required to take many permissions after the land purchase is done. Almost one and a half to two years is needed to start the construction work from the time land acquisition is done. The erstwhile process for obtaining NA permission involved application to collector to obtain sanad, opinion from town planning authorities before NA permission was granted.

However, because of this decision of the revenue department, we will be able to get all the required permissions faster and this period would be reduced drastically. I am glad to see that CREDAI’s long standing demand has been noticed by the government and the necessary action has been taken. This decision by the revenue department is indeed a welcome move for the real estate sector and we thank Honorable Revenue Minister Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil and Additional Chief Secretary of the revenue department Dr. Nitin Kareer for the same.

This decision will ease and speed up the complex process of obtaining permissions needed to start the construction work. One of the most important features mentioned in this circular is that the new process will have digital updating on revenue records and this will prevent our visits to multiple offices. All this will result in reduction in time for getting the necessary permissions which will help accelerate the time required for completion of the project and will have a positive impact on the prices of flats. Thus, it will prove to be beneficial for the home buyers as well”, he said.
