Man Kidnaps Minor Son Of Girlfriend, Pune Police Chase Him Till Latur To Rescue The Boy

Sahakarnagar, 5th May 2022: The officials from Pune city police have rescued a one and half-year-old boy who was kidnapped by his mother’s lover. Pune police followed the man to Latur in Maharashtra and rescued the boy within 12 hours.
Based on a complaint from the boy’s mother, the Sahakarnagar police station has arrested the accused Sunil Sopan Pandhare (26), a resident of Pandharewadi in Gangakhed taluka of Parbhani district, Maharashtra.
According to the police, the woman does not live with her husband. She has a son from the marriage. While working at a company in Baramati, she met the accused who also worked there. They had a love affair. A few days back, Sunil had brought the woman and her son to Pune for sightseeing. They were staying in a lodge in Balajinagar.
On May 3, the two had an argument over some issue. The accused beat the woman and kidnapped her son after locking her in the room. After hearing shouts for help, the lodge manager released her. She rushed to the police station and lodged a complaint.
Under the guidance of Senior Police Inspector Swati Desai, in-charge of the Sahakarnagar police station, a team began the investigation. After technical analysis of call records, it was learnt that the accused was on his way toward Parbhani.
Accordingly, policemen were dispatched and they nabbed the accused in Latur and rescued the boy. They were brought to Pune and the boy was handed over to his mother.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 2) Sagar Patil and Inspector Desai supervised the rescue operation. The team included Police Inspector Yunus Mulani, API Sameer Shende and Bapu Khutwad, Mahadev Nale, Bhujang Ingle, Sushant Farande, Sagar Sutkar, Mahesh Mandlik, Pradip Bediskar, Sagar Shinde, Mangesh Borade.
