Paying a friend’s fine for violation of traffic rule puts woman in a fix; every receipt now lands in her inbox
Pune, February 12, 2021: Giving her ATM card and mobile number to the police to pay the fine, on her friend’s behalf, for violating traffic rules has cost a woman greatly.
After paying the fine, the registration of the mobile number was attached to the vehicle by the police and now the receipt of every violation reaches the woman. Meanwhile, the concerned police station was contacted by the concerned woman after the matter came to light. However, she got a strange reply to visit the Regional Transport Office in this regard.
The concerned woman paid a fine in December 2018 for violating traffic rules committed by her friend in the vicinity of Alankar police station. As the fine was paid through an ATM card, the police registered the mobile number of the concerned woman with her friend’s vehicle at the time. Receipts of fines have come in twice in the last two years. So, the woman is rightfully cross at the happening of this ordeal.
