PBCA clash with Trinity into finals at PYC-Goldfieldd Late Raju Bhalekar Trophy
Pune, 4th June 2026: Punit Balan Cricket Academy(PBCA) will clash with Trinity in the finals of the fifth edition of the PYC-Goldfieldd Late Raju Bhalekar Trophy Invitational Under-19 Cricket Tournament, organised by PYC Hindu Gymkhana, with impressive victories in their respective quarterfinal encounters played at the PYC Ground and Nehru Stadium Ground.
At the PYC Ground, Punit Balan Cricket Academy chased down Ambitious Cricket Academy’s total of 198 with ease, reaching 199 for 6 in just 27.2 overs to seal a four-wicket victory. Opener Om Bhamre set the tone with a brisk 34, while Ram Rathod (28), Kaushik Suryawanshi (23) and Raghav Naik (21) made useful contributions. The finishing touches were provided by Aayush Raktade, who remained unbeaten on 30 off 16 balls, and Aneesh Joshi, who scored an unbeaten 34. Earlier, Vedant Hanche top-scored for Ambitious with 57. Aayush Raktade was named Player of the Match for his all-round performance.
At the Nehru Stadium Ground, Trinity outclassed Poona Club by eight wickets. After restricting Poona Club to 148 in 42.4 overs, thanks to impressive spells from Shravan Shirke (3/24), Adwik Tiwary (2/18) and Pratik Kadlak (2/26), Trinity comfortably chased the target in 27 overs. Aman Singh starred with an unbeaten 77 off 55 balls, studded with eight boundaries and three sixes, while Prem Ighe contributed a solid 45. Aman Singh was adjudged Player of the Match.
