Pimpri Chinchwad Police To Conduct Covid Test Of People Found Roaming Outside
Hinjewadi, 22nd May 2021: Pimpri-Chinchwad Police are now conducting a rapid antigen test (RAT) for Covid19 on people found roaming outside. So far nine places have been designated in the jurisdiction of Pimpri-Chinchwad Police for conducting the test.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime Branch) Sudhir Hiremath said that the tests will be done at six Nakabandi Points in Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) area and three Nakabandi points at Talegaon, Chakan and Hinjewadi.
At present people are allowed to go out for buying essential commodities between 7 am to 11 am on weekdays except for Saturday and Sunday (on these two days only milk selling is allowed). However, it has been observed that many people violate the lockdown order and travel during curfew hours, police said.
