Pimpri-Chinchwad: Traffic Diversion On Pimpri’s Indira Gandhi Rail Over Bridge From Today

Pimpri, January 21, 2021: The diversion on Pimpri’s Indira Gandhi railway overbridge( ROB) has begun from today for 90 days. The ROB is being repaired, due to which the diversion has been put in place.

According to the order issued by the deputy commissioner of police(DCP), Sudhir Hiremath, ROB is being repaired and the first phase of the work will be done from Hotel Gokul to the ROB. Two-way vehicular traffic will run on Ahilyadevi Holkar chowk to ROB stretch. Traffic running from Babasaheb Ambedkar chowk to the ROB will be diverted from Ahilyadevi Holkar chowk to ROB on the Pune-Mumbai highway in Pimpri.

The residents living on land along the ROB will have to take Croma showroom’s road to reach their area.

Indira Gandhi ROB was built in 1980 by Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal corporation. It is one of the crucial routes that connect Pimprigaon, Pimpri camp, Kalewadi, Rahatni, and Pimpri MIDC, and other areas to the Pune-Mumbai highway.
