Pune: 12-Year-Old Boy Dead, Father Seriously Injured In Accident
Chakan, 5th November 2023: A speeding tempo collided with a bike, resulting in the death of a 12-year-old boy and serious injuries to his father. The accident happened at Rase Phata on Saturday at 2.30 pm.
The seriously injured individual has been identified as Shrimant Bhima Dhanve, aged 39, and a resident of Shikrapur, Taluka Shirur. His 12-year-old son lost his life in the accident. Shrimant Dhanve has registered a formal complaint with the Chakan police station regarding the incident. In response, the police have taken Bandu Sudam Dhaybar into custody. Bandu Dhaybar, aged 46 and a resident of Shikrapur, Taluka Shirur, is the alleged driver of the Eicher Tempo (MH 16 CD 0962) involved in the accident.
According to officials, the driver, Bandu Dhaybar, was operating the Eicher Tempo recklessly. While travelling on Shikrapur Chakan Road, after reaching Rase Phata, Dhaybar’s tempo rear-ended Dhanve’s bike, causing both the father and son to fall. Tragically, the child succumbed to his injuries, and Shrimant Dhanve was left seriously injured. The Chakan police are investigating the incident.
