Pune: 5th Day of Aarambh League Basketball Tournament, 6 Teams Advance To Next Round
Kharadi, 12th October 2022: Day 5 of the ‘Aarambh League’ took off with the tiny tots rocking the floor in the 10 passes category. 2 Teams from the 10 passes category advanced in the eliminator round from the pool table. 3 teams from Under 11 & 3 teams from Under 13 advanced to the next round.
Game 1 was a match between Marvel Stars & Neo Ball Boys in which the Neo Ball Boys grabbed a smooth 3-1 victory over Marvel Stars.
Game 2 was a match played between Ganga Constella B & Future Warriors. Not keeping it close, the Future Warriors proved to be the strongest till the end of the game beating Ganga Constella B by a score of 3-1.
Game 3 & further was all Basketball till the end of today’s session. The third Game came from the Under 13 Girls category, Arena Hustlers Vs SNBP was the match played in the first Basketball match scheduled for the day. Arena Hustlers beat SNBP by a comfortable score of 20-2 to qualify for the next round. Anvi from Arena Hustlers scored 10 points while Siya contributed 6 points for Arena Hustlers. Dishita from SNBP could manage only 2 points for her team which happened to be the team score.
Game 4 was between Park Infinia Vs Titans from the Under 11 Boys Category and was a kind of close game in the beginning. Park Infinia in the other half sealed the win. The final score was 15-6. Aryan from Park Infinia scored a whopping 12 points to secure the win while a 4-point fightback from Ekaksh couldn’t get the job done for the Titans.
Game 5 was Stormbreakers Vs Runwal Seagulls A Under 11 Boys. Storm Breakers had a cakewalk over Runwal Seagulls A in this last match of their pool. The final score was 23-2. Preet & Panay each scored 6 points for Stormbreakers whereas Utkansh could manage 2 points for Runwal Seagulls A.
Game 6 was the highlight of today’s session. The high-pounding high action match was played between two heavyweights of the Under 13 Boys category.
G&G Kings & Net Rippers went all-in on the court today, in which Net Rippers managed to steal a close victory over the G&G Kings. The final score was 24-22 in which the Net Rippers managed a close win. Neil from Net Rippers contributed 9 points & Aarav drained two 3-pointers i.e. 6 points. Chinmay answered with 9 points (which included two clean 3-pointers) & Shreyash scored 7 points for G&G Kings, but it didn’t get the job done.
Game 7 Under 13 Girls was between Freek Throws Vs ABC Indoor. Another close game in which ABC Indoor got away with the win with a final score of 10-7. Anushka scored 6 points for ABC Indoor whereas Anvi scored 4 points for Freek Throws.
Game 8 was played between Ganga Constella & G&G Rookies from the Under 11 Boys category. Ganga Constella conquered the G&G Rookies with a score of 11-2. Dhruv scored a game-high of 5 points for Ganga Constella while Liam scored 2 points for G&G Rookies.
Game 9 was played from the Under 13 Girls Category. Hardworking Hustlers Vs The Hoopers. Hardworking Hustlers bagged the win over The Hoopers with a score of 6-1. Siyona from Hardworking Hustlers scored 3 points while Twisha scored 1 point for The Hoopers
Game 10 and the last game from Aarambh league’s Pool matches were between Ganga Constella & New Hoops from the Under 11 Boys category. Ganga Constella beat New Hoops by 19-3. Dhruv scored a whopping 9 points by hitting three long-range 3-pointers to get the job done. Job scored 2 points for New Hoops.
