Pune, 17th September 2021: Angered by his dismissal, a driver and his brother set fire to the owner’s car.  The incident took place on Monday morning at Indrayani Nagar in Bhosari.

The accused have been identified as Vinod Kisanrao Bhaske and Ankit Kisanrao Bhaske. A 60-year-old woman, owner of the cars, lodged a complaint at MIDC Bhosari Police Station on Thursday.

According to police, accused Vinod Bhaske had been working for the complainant as a driver for the last three years. Meanwhile, Vinod took her car (Swift) to his village for ten days. However, the car was not brought even after a month. So the complainant searched for him and reached his house.

When asked about the car, his brother Ankit got into an argument with her. The complainant told police that the Swift car was later damaged by the accused. Vinod has since been fired.

Meanwhile, four days ago, accused Vinod and his brother Ankit allegedly went to the society where the complainant was staying and set fire to the Creta and Innova vehicles. Both the vehicles were burnt to ashes and a loss of Rs 22 lakh has been incurred.
