Pune: Bulldozer Justice In Pimpri-Chinchwad, PCMC Demolishes Residential Institute In Ravet Where Minor Girls Were Raped

Pimpri Chinchwad, 16th February 2024: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has employed bulldozers to demolish illegal constructions of accused persons in criminal cases. In a parallel move, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis has also taken similar action.

Accused Naushad Shaikh, who allegedly sexually abused girl students at his residential institute Creative Academy in Ravet, has been arrested by Pimpri Chinchwad police.

Following the registration of a case against the accused Shaikh by the police, the education department of the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) initiated a parallel investigation into the allegations.

In response to these developments, MLA Mahesh Landge publicly called for action against the organization linked to such criminal activities. He consistently pressed the PCMC administration to address unauthorized constructions associated with such individuals. Home Minister Fadnavis also took note of the situation.

PCMC Additional Commissioner Pradeep Jambhale-Patil recommended to the Deputy Director of Education that the approval and no-objection letter of Creative Academy Education Society Chinchwad, which runs Creative Public School should be cancelled.

According to PCMC, six (2370 sq. ft.) classrooms, two (1260 sq. ft.) office rooms, one (1830 sq. ft.) canteen, and four (600 sq. ft.) constructions for storage, as well as other parking spaces in the parking lot and common areas of the school building (totaling about 6060 sq. ft.), including the construction of a tin shed, were razed today.

This operation was carried out under the supervision of Additional Commissioner Pradeep Jambhale-Patil, City Engineer Makarand Nikam, Deputy Commissioner Manoj Lonkar and Ward Officer Amit Pandit.

The team included Abasaheb Dhavale, Executive Engineer of the Building Permission and Unauthorized Construction Control Department, Deputy Engineer Dinesh Pathak, Junior Engineer Pankaj Dhende, Amol Pawar, Swapnil Gadiwaddu, Beat Inspector, along with two Police Sub-Inspectors and five personnel from Ravet Police Station, Maharashtra Security Force, assisted by 24 personnel, 10 labourers and two JCBs.
