Pune: Grandmother Opens Her Eyes Before Her Funeral
Pune, 12th May 2021: In a bizarre incident that took place in Mudhale village of Baramati taluka, a 76-year-old woman opened her eyes during her funeral.
The old lady was tested positive for Covid-19 a few days ago. She was living in isolation, but due to old age, she was keeping unwell and had restricted her movements. The family members were taking care of her, but due to Covid, they had limitations.
From the last couple of days, her health deteriorated further. So the family decided to shift her to the hospital. She remained unconscious throughout her journey from home to hospital. The ambulance driver thought that she had died and thus informed her family members.
The family members started the preparations for her funeral. Since she was a Covid patient, the relatives did not go closer to her. But she heard their crying and opened her eyes. When the family members and relatives saw that she was alive, they relieved a sigh of relief. The incident took place on May 10.
