Pune: Mont Vert Builders Booked For Fraud In Flats Sale
Wakad, 30th March 2022: An FIR has been registered by Wakad police station (Pimpri Chinchwad police) against Mont Vert Associates for allegedly selling 16 flats with forged documents for Rs 5.26 crore.
Based on a complaint from Sanjay Pandurang Kalate (42) of Wakad, the case has been registered against Jayant Vallabhdas Kaneria, Dhirajlal Gordhandas Hansalia, who are partners in Mont Vert Associates, and Ajay Bipinchandra Zaveri and Dharti Ajay Zaveri.
According to the police, Kalate, Kaneria and Hansalia are partners in the construction business of the firm Mount Vert Associates. In December 2019, Kaneria and Hansalia allegedly conspired with Zaveris for the fraud. They sold 16 flats based on forged documents to Zaveris for Rs 10.55 crore without Kalate’s knowledge. However, only Rs 6.33 crore was deposited in the company’s account while Rs 4.23 crore was siphoned off. Later, Zaveris sold these flats to other people at a higher price and earned a profit of Rs 1.03 crore. Thus, they committed fraud of Rs 5.26 crore.
