Pune-Muzaffarpur SUF AC Special Train Delayed By Over 8 Hours
Pune, 24th November 2023: The passengers of Train 05286, the Pune-Muzaffarpur SUF AC Special, found themselves grappling with an unexpected delay of over 8 hours. The Pune station, the departure point for this special service, witnessed a lack of proper announcements, leaving travelers stranded and in the dark.
The IRCTC, in a last-minute notification, announced the rescheduling of the train a mere 90 minutes before its originally slated departure time of 11 pm on November 23. The revised schedule pushed the departure to 5 am on November 24, leading to an overnight ordeal for many travelers who were left with no choice but to spend the night at the station.
Even at its rescheduled time, the lack of clear voice or display announcements regarding the platform number and boarding time left passengers in a state of confusion. Boarding the train, passengers were met with unsatisfactory conditions, as the train had arrived directly from Muzaffarpur without proper cleaning procedures.
A first AC passenger, paying a premium fare of over 5000 INR, expressed dismay at the unclean state of the compartment. Empty water bottles, used linens, tea cups, and scattered food items greeted passengers, highlighting a lapse in the essential amenities expected in the premium class.
